Hang in with us, kids. We're muddling through!

Hey, listeners, friends and fans!

If you haven't noticed by now, we're having a little bit of technical difficulties over at our main site, TalkRadioX.com.

Dan and Antubert (who, I'm sure, has smoked about 4,283 cigarettes by this point) have got the stream working and an emergency site loaded with an emergency chat room.

When the fine folks at AT&T get their collective crap together, we will resume full operation of the site.

Until then, please be sure to enjoy our shows on this blog and through iTunes, Windows Media Player, our MySpace and most Internet radio listings.

As soon as we get everything smoothly running again, we'll let you know. Thanks for all of your continued support, everybody. We're thankful to have listeners like you!

Let's Discuss: Is Talk Radio Dead?

Alright, alright. Jacque Jo here. I've got something that's been troubling me lately and I wanted to open it up for discussion.

As I was getting ready for work the other morning, I heard a commercial on a local station say, "Talk radio is DEAD."

Dead?

Really?

It's dead?

Did I miss something? Because I seem to hear more and more of it.

Ever the researcher, I decided to ask my friend Google if this was true.

I found this article -- My untimely demise -- by nationally syndicated talk show host Glenn Beck. Glenn is the host of The Glenn Beck Program which airs from 9 a.m. to noon in the east Monday through Friday. He's also on television nightly on CNN Headline News. He's an accomplished author, too.

Yeah, I'm a fan. I love the guy. I've even been to see him live and it was an experience I won't soon forget.

I think he's got some great points in this article, but then again, he could wax poetic about the ingredients in Cap'n Crunch and I'm going to love it.

Here's the deal ... talk radio is so far from dead. We do it here. Right here. Every single day. We have original shows, original voices and a whole lot of personality. We've got the ability at our fingertips to reach millions of listeners a day with commentary and programming people won't find anywhere else.

We have the ability -- right here -- to make the entire world think. And we do. Every day.

We are the future here, and I truly believe that. The Internet broadcasters like us are the next generation of this medium and with what we're doing at TalkRadioX, we're right on the front lines.

So, let's have some discussion, guys. Check out his article and tell me what you think.

Over on the UHF band ...

Toby made sure to give me a heads up on a few more great TalkRadioX shows for your listening pleasure!

Kampfire Bog (5 p.m. Sundays) -- Join the aforementioned Toby for a great hour of discussion and various whatnots.

The Justin Gall Show (8 p.m. Fridays) -- Another good Friday night show. If you're taking a night off from the party circuit or you're looking to get your laugh on before you go out, give this funny show a try.

Nowhere in Mulberry (10 p.m. Fridays) -- Pop culture at its finest. Make sure to listen to everything these fine folks have to offer.

The 409 Radio Show (6 p.m. Mondays) -- You really just have to listen to this yourself. I'm not going to ruin the fun by giving you hints. Join Crazy Joe and Moby Cock-Knocker for the wackiness that ensues.

And, as always, if you would like to be featured, drop me a line! We'd love to hear from you!

It's a lineup. And not the kind you'd expect outta us!

Hey, everybody! It's me. Jacque Jo. Finally doing what I promised Dan I'd do two weeks ago.

Welcome to the TalkRadioX blog, a fun little interactive project we're incredibly excited to bring you ... the listener! And we like the listener. We'd buy you a drink if we could afford it.

In the coming weeks, we hope to fill this space with host interviews, upcoming guests, fun stories of the TalkRadioX you don't get to see. We'll answer listener questions and print your love and hate mail. You'll also be subjected to stories and pictures I find funny as I pretend to be busy during the day at work.

So, just to get everybody started, I thought I'd post a little "hey, check this out" show guide. These are some of my favorite shows on the network (and trust me, there's many, many more. Check our home page for a complete schedule) and you totally need to make time to catch them.

* The Radio Dan Show (8 p.m. Sunday through Thursday) -- Radio Dan and Intern Jessica. It's movies, TV, entertainment and all of it entertaining. I love these guys. I could listen for hours. I do, actually. (And I'm not just saying that because I love Jessica and I'm sucking up to Dan.)

* The Live Test Show ... YAYYY! (9 p.m. Monday through Friday) -- Hosted by Antubert with our very own European, Freek! All sorts of fun going on in that hour! Plus, it's inevitable that Crazy Joe might show up at some point to remind Antubert how handsome he truly is.

* B-Dub at Night (10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, midnight Friday) -- A little show that I may or may not be the executive producer of ... But definitely interesting, controversial and never a waste of time or bandwidth. (Now, I'm not just saying that because I'm also that guy's woman. I'd listen to it anyway. Unless I was sleeping.) You'll just have to check it out.

* Steppin' to the Bad Side Power Hour (11 p.m. Monday through Thursday) -- seriously, Tyler, you're cutting into my trash TV time with all of this! Join Tyler Hollywood for an hour of thoughtful commentary and great music in only the way Tyler can deliver it.

* Dr. Rock's Daily Dose (midnight Monday through Thursday) -- Join Dr. Rock and crew for a daily dose of "kick ass therapy." You can get the extended version on Saturdays at 7 p.m.

* The James Madison Show/Race Hour (7 p.m. Friday/8 p.m. Saturday) -- Two very different shows by the same broadcasting crew of James Madison and Frank Gordon. The James Madison Show kicks off your weekend with a little bit of madness (and great music and guests!) and Race Hour, hosted by Frank, is every racing fan's "must-hear" show.

* Steppin' to the Bad Side (11 p.m. Saturday) -- more Tyler Hollywood badassness. I would encourage you to stick around for the 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. hour. Seriously. Yes. I just said "2 a.m. to 3 a.m. hour."

* Ground Zero Radio (3 p.m. Sunday) -- eWrestling, a little of this and that, hosted by Tyler Hollywood (yeah, AGAIN). I still don't know what eWrestling is. I'm waiting for that explanation.

And last, but not least, unless we're talking ratings ...

* Happy Hour on (2 p.m. and 9 p.m. Sunday) -- Two very different versions of the same show in one day. Ed comes along for the early show at 2 and at night, we bring Intern Jessica along for a Ladies Night that can't be beat.

But Jacque Jo, you say. My show's not listed.

I'm not hosing you. I just haven't been exposed to you yet.

But the minute you want to expose yourself to me, drop me an e-mail here (you'll see where at the bottom of the page)! We'll let you be the first show we feature in a "Host Q&A"! :)

First Posting

So here it is.

The first official blog post from TalkRadioX. Can you feel the excitement? As I, (Radio) Dan sit and type this out, I can barely contain myself.

Now understand, I want the TRX blog to be interesting, funny, and well written so naturally I won't be doing it myself. The first blog challenge will be conning convincing someone into writing this. Think about Tom Sawyer talking kids into whitewashing the fence. That's me.

So let's see who I can get to write entry number two in this blog...
